US AIRLINES DITCH CHANGE FEES
September 8, 2020

These past months, we all know how much our furry friends mean to us. So many puppies and kittens have new homes to keep their humans happy.

Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg, Virginia is an excellent getaway for four-legged and two-legged guests. Middleburg is a dog-loving village and the Salamander Resort & Spa will spoil your pups. Dog-friendly rooms on the terrace level have doors that lead directly outdoors to the expansive lawn. The resort staff wants to know the name of the dogs before you even arrive and they provide dog beds and bowls.

Rochelle recently stayed at Salamander Resort & Spa for her birthday, “The luxuries and fine touches in a healthy and safe environment were exactly what I needed.” Spread over nearly 350 acres, this mid-sized luxury resort is a perfect escape for all seasons. It is equally well-suited for a family jaunt, a weekend with friends, or a romantic celebration. As of early September, the resort is operating up to 70% of their accommodations to allow for social distancing. There are firepits throughout the grounds and some rooms and suites have fireplaces. Rochelle can totally imagine a cozy weekend reboot! The spa and Zen-like pool are deliciously beautiful. The gym is well-outfitted and when the weather is inclement there’s an indoor pool. There are daily activities to interest everyone, especially equestrians.

The new executive chef intends to usher in fresh and inventive culinary experiences at Harriman’s Virginia Piedmont Grill. Save room for sweet treats including smores at the firepits! The Gold Cup Wine Bar offers indoor seating and outdoor dining on the terrace.

Clients who recently stayed with Coco and Toby, their furry family members, had this to share:

We felt very safe and comfortable. It meant a lot to us that you had recently stayed at the resort and were able to share firsthand. Your Covid-19 precautions were perfectly accurate. There was so much space to spread out around the property and I think we explored every inch. The staff knew our dog’s names and made them feel like part of their family. Our daughter had a pedicure at the spa and the staff made sure she was safe and well cared for. It was nice that she was able to have some alone time to relax on her own. Dogs aren’t allowed in the private resort vehicles that deliver guests to local wineries, but there are golf carts to whisk us all into the village.

Thank you very much for your guidance and resort suggestion. It was a perfect little break. -Joe, Alan and Camryn (and Coco & Toby) , August 2020
