Thank you, Rochelle. I loved China and Tibet. It was a hard trip, but I would do it again in a heartbeat! We had many successful adventures and good times. One of the highlights of our trip was a visit to the Blind Without Borders school for orphans.
We were so blessed, first of all, to have the most wonderful tour director, Lee. He met us at the airport in Beijing and was with us throughout the entire trip. Lee was like a mother hen to our small group and arranged for helpers with the wheelchair in Beijing, Xian, and Lhasa. They were all great, and took wonderful care with Isis. Wandu, in Lhasa, was especially amazing. We managed very well in Tibet and could definitely feel the effects of the altitude, but no significant problems. Our new saying from there: Go slow like a yak.
In the Great Wall photo, the man standing with Esther, we affectionately nicknamed him Mr. Dragon. He was our helper with Isis in Beijing. He was amazingly strong and a wonderfully kind soul. We had great help all along the way. ~Ninai, Isis and Esther, September 2015
