We had an AMAZING time!! Everything worked out perfectly. The hotels were all wonderful so I thought I would give you a bit of feedback on each of them.
Rome- Eva’s Rooms- the best part about this hotel was the location. Very central east to walk to many sights and restaurants, and there is a metro station just a few minutes away.
Sorrento- Hotel Grand Hermitage– AMAZING views!! We did end up upgrading to sea view rooms because they were too beautiful to pass up. It was a bout a 20 minute ride to Sorrento. They did have a shuttle but it only ran down into town that left about every 2 hours. However this was not really ever an issue because if you wanted to come or go at a different time you could take the local public bus that only cost a couple Euro.
Florence- Beautiful hotel, we were only there one night, but the location was also wonderful!
Tuscany- L’Ultimo Mulino- very quaint and quiet. Nice location to travel around the Chianti region. We went to a few vineyards that were all lovely, but the one we would recommend was Verazzono- it was near Greve. We booked the food and wine experience which included a full Tuscan lunch, wine tasting, and tour which was about $50 euro per person, but well worth it!
Hope this is helpful. We cannot thank you enough, Julie, for booking all of our lodging and travel. It was so nice to have all of our trains and hotels booked in advance, and like I said, everything worked out perfectly!
Thanks so much for being a part of making this the trip of our lives!! –Mindy & Craig, Kylie & Drew, Italy, June 2014
