Amy, you travel a lot domestically and internationally, for work and play and have had several different brands of luggage over the years. What made you give Rimowa a try and what do you like most about your Rimowa luggage?
You could say I’m always searching for better ways to organize my life, and when it comes to luggage, I don’t think I’ll have to search anymore now that I’ve found Rimowa. Sort of a no-brainer: durable, handsome, and totally optimized for my OCD packing tendencies. Also, lightweight. No one enjoys schlepping luggage.
Do you use different pieces of luggage for different trips? Or do you have one collection that you like and have in a variety of sizes?
The Salsa Deluxe is my go-to. It accompanies me on most trips that last longer than three days, especially when those trips are to Europe.
You enjoy good design. What do you think is so appealing about Rimowa?
Thoughtful simplicity seems to be at the core of all good design. Make it well and think it through – but don’t overcomplicate it. Rimowa doesn’t.
What three items do you take with you on nearly every travel adventure?
- Apple products
- My journal. (plus, good pencils + sharpener).
- A lightweight sweater. I find that no matter where I’m headed, it will inevitably be cold somewhere along the way.
