I stumbled across Papaya Art luggage tags, greeting cards and other works of art in a small art coop on Ambergris Caye, Belize this summer. For some reason, they spoke to me and I had to bring them to Charlottesville. The artist, Anahata Katkin, has taken items we sell at Peace Frogs Travel/Outfitters every day and made them beautiful, fanciful and interesting. As it turns out, the artist behind Papaya Art is not Belizean at all- she’s from Portland, Oregon. Regardless, I felt we had to have some of her work on luggage tags, travel pouches, change purses and greeting cards for our holiday season.
