We’ve adjusted our work paradigms in this last year and more people than ever are commuting between a traditional office and a home office. In the spirit of creating a more streamlined work/life balance, it’s probably time to upgrade that bag you’re schlepping – and we have some great new MOBILE OFFICE products to help you out.

Here are a few tips on how you can upgrade your mobile office:
- Consider the ergonomics. Papers, books, laptops, cords, etc. can get heavy quick. Don’t skimp on comfort. We recommend looking for generously padded straps and weigh the pros/cons of carrying over the shoulder, on your back, or wheeling your work bag.
- Get organized. Decide how much organization you need (or want). Are you someone who thrives when each item has its own specific spot, or do you feel overwhelmed if there are too many pockets? Either way you want organization that provides you with the ability to know where your items are and to be able to quickly grab them.
- Protect your electronics. Mobile office bags should offer padded laptop and tablet compartments. Some even offer padded compartments for your phone.
- Seek durability. Your mobile office gets constant use and abuse as you traipse back and forth from home to work (or elsewhere). We recommend a bag with a heavy-duty fabric (especially at the base) to give it a long lifespan.
- Find a steady base. Find a bag with a firm, wide bottom so it is less likely to tip over as you are pulling documents in and out of the bag while it’s upright.
- Treat your bag as your desktop. If you keep everything you need in your mobile office bag all the time, you’re less likely to leave any items behind. Keeping everything in your mobile office also keeps your desktop at home or the office clutter-free.
