It has to have the right size and shape, a comfortable strap adjusted to a precise height, and the ideal number of pockets. At Peace Frogs Travel/Outfitters we focus on handbags that are ideal for travel. Julie, Chief Frog – I carry the Pacsafe Small Hobo– the Slingsafe 250 in black. I put my wallet, passport, phone and a few other items in there. I love it because it disappears on my body and I can keep it in front of me as a cross body bag without it sticking out too much. When we went to a Red Sox game at Fenway Park last August I secured the zippers and then locked the bag around my seat so I got to jump up and down hands-free.
Claire, Travel Concierge – When it comes to bags, whether I am traveling or just around town, I am a Backpack Gal. I appreciate the convenience of traveling hands free but whatever I carry has to have style as well as utility and the Osgood Marley City Scape Urban backpack fits my parameters for the look and useful features that I appreciate in a bag. It’s the perfect size for my wallet, glasses, and phone with lots of compartments to help me stay organized. The backpack features an RFID blocking pocket which you can slip your passport and credit card into to prevent identity theft, a feature that will come in handy on my next trip out of the country.
Lindsay, Retail Manager – The Amber 20L tote by Dakine is one of my favorite bags. It is incredibly lightweight and a great size for a personal item on the plane or for toting around town. It is the perfect in-between size. It has the flexibility of being carried over the shoulder or as a cross body, and I love the fleece-lined slip pocket on the front that fits my iPad.
Katie, Retail Consultant – I cannot live without my Pacsafe Venturesafe bag. I know that wherever I am everything will stay with me as long as I am smart about it. Since it comes in the Seattle Seahawk’s color (navy trimmed in green) I use it even more.
Ellen, Travel Enrichment Advisor – For me, it’s been all about the Highway bags lately. They are sleek and slim so I cannot overstuff them and they have a unique design where all of the pockets are on the front of the bag. I love the fun colors and contrasting zippers and the easy-access back pocket for my phone. I love these bags so much that I have three of them!
