This Victorinox Spectra has now gotten me through three short trips (one DC, two involving flights out of CHO) and it’s terrific. It’s easily maneuverable (although four wheels on carpet takes a little getting used to for those of us used to pulling a bag from behind) and I love how easily identifiable it is (yay for the limited edition color). I also really appreciate the outer ‘pocket’ organization; especially for my short trips, I’m often carrying both clothes / personal items and business supplies (extra computer, printed materials, workshop supplies, etc.) and it’s really nice to have a bag that is actually designed to accommodate such things. The bag does require a little more thought when packing; to make the most of the space, it’s more of a “set everything out and then pack systematically” job than a “set it open and fill it with clothes as you go” task. That’s a bit of a switch for me, but I’m getting used to it. From a capacity standpoint, it’s great for one or two days (including one pair of shoes plus those that I’m wearing, so I can have tennis shoes OR alternate work shoes, but not both) and I can fit three days if I double up some things. Biggest downside: there’s no packing a suit jacket in one of these.   -Rachel, February 2015
