Back from Australia which was one of the best trips we have ever taken: the people were very friendly and helpful. We took a 3 hour walking tour the first day in Sydney and that was fantastic! The second day we took a harbor ferry to Manly, a coastal beach, and did some shopping.
Several days of our journey really stand out, one being the Daintree Forest where we had a fantastic guide. We could easily have spent another day there in the rainforest. Two very long days then followed at Ayers Rock and we could have easily spent another day there. The best, though, was Kangaroo Island, which is a unique ecological habitat. The last day in Adelaide was spent in the Australian museum where we learned a lot about aboriginal culture.
We already have our next tour picked out for 2014 (always good to have something on the horizon) to South Africa but that’s for another time. Thank you, Rochelle, for all of your help. -Dr. & Mrs. Betts, Australia, September 2013
