Incredible trip. The Locanda Hotel in Venice is expensive but has an incredible view of the Grand Canal from the balcony.
The cruise was great. Take the donkey ride in Santorini 1000 feet up to the town. Also mention to clients that if they want to see the catacombs in Rome, the best one is at San Sebastian Church. Take the Colli Albani subway stop and get on the 660 bus running every 1/2 hour, get off at the turn around at the wall seeing the catacomb sign and walk right 1/4 mile down the Appian Way to the Sebastian Church, there’s an English tour at 11 am. Catch lunch in the garden on the walk back. Also we liked the Roma Pass available at the tobacco stores at the Coliseum subway exit – these help you skip the ticket lines.
