Our trip started with the ferry from the airport to the Westin St John, which is so easy and well worth the cost. The hotel is a perfect spot for families. The villas are not huge but they are the perfect amount of space. We rented a car from the Westin for the length of the stay. It was so much cheaper than cabs and you can easily explore the secluded beaches and hikes via car. Their beach is not the one you want to spend a lot of time at. You certainly want to get to the other parts of the island where the water is clear and the snorkeling is awesome. But the beach and pool there are perfect to unwind at the end of the day.

Everyone at Moorings was a pleasure to work with. We sailed up to the Bitter End the first full day we had and then we laid anchor there for two days. We improvised and rented a car in Virgin Gorda and drove to the Baths instead of trying to get in on the boat side. The winds let up just a tiny bit so we snuck back down to Norman Island and the caves to finish our trip there. The boys had a blast and are already shopping for their boat for next year. They, of course, are eyeing one of the giant catamarans. I told them they need to start saving their money!

All in all a wonderful vacation. I cannot thank you enough for your help and your patience with me. And I have been letting everyone know how much you helped us. –Kristin, December 2016
