Ahhh…it’s that time of year again. Time for a ‘Spring Break’. As travelers continue to flock to beautiful locations around the world during these few months, we have an influx of customers coming in to Peace Frogs Travel/Outfitters to prepare for their trip. A common question I hear is “Where do I start ?” I would recommend starting  from the ground up.

1) Do you have the appropriate piece of luggage for this trip?  Or rather are you happy with your current piece of luggage (the size and functionality)? Having a good quality,  well thought out bag can mean the difference between cursing at your bag while traveling or gliding through the airport with ease.

2) To maximize space inside your luggage, I recommend Eagle Creek packing cubes. I have used these for years and feel that they allow me to remain more organized when I get to my destination, and are also useful to organize multiple people packing in a single bag. I roll shirts in one and pants in the other and it allows me to fit far more into my luggage than I ever would without them. If you are bringing along dress shirts or slacks that you would prefer not to roll up Eagle Creek makes packing folders. And don’t forget about compression bags if you are bringing bulkier items, such as sweaters.

3) Make sure that you have the appropriate day bag for your destination. If security is a concern, click here to check out my last post on our highly recommended Pacsafe bags. If you just need a regular day bag, we carry multiple options ranging from backpacks to cross-body bags in sizes large and small.

4) This leads me to accessories that are a necessity and those that help keep you sane and comfortable while traveling. Make sure you have the appropriate adapter, converter or transformer for your international trip, so you can plug in any appliances or electronics you are bringing. I would highly recommend a concealed neck or waist pouch for housing your passport and extra cash.  On the plane
, try our bestselling Bucky 40 Blinks eye mask and Cocoon travel blanket. We have neck pillows of all shapes and sizes, also available in an inflatable option for those who need to save every last inch of space.  Last, but not least, don’t forget luggage tags, locks and travel-sized bottles for your liquids.
